My client approached me with their Tesla Y as it had sustained two lots of damage. There was damage to the fog light cove in the bumper and some scratches and the wing was quite badly damaged and it had a three stage pearl white paint code. A new fog light cover was ordered and the scratches polished out. The wing was more of a challenge the client was happy to replace but that would have ment blending to adjacent panels adding significant cost. As the vehicle is electric it would have needed to be fully shut down to repair, the panel is also aluminium so can’t be pulled using conventional methods. The wing was removed and good old fashioned panel beating was used even around the tight brace areas. I kept the repair as small as possible to avoid blending. Next was spray out cards to ensure the best match and a bit of skill was used to add the paint and both the repair and match have come up well. I have a happy client who saved a substantial amount of money and Teslas usually sort their own computer issues so a quick check there were no faults and a happy client. I am fully qualified to city and guilds level three to work on fully electric and hybrid vehicles
