Today we said our final goodbye to Ken Clarke.

We would like to say a sincere thank you to all of our customers for your patience and understanding this morning while we took the time to pay our respects to a man who meant so much to all of us.

A huge thank you to all of the lads who joined the convoy, following Ken with beacons lit all the way to Wakefield Crematorium. It was a fitting tribute, and one that we know Ken would have been incredibly proud of.

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Harpins Funeral Directors for their professionalism, care and attention to every detail. They made sure Ken’s farewell was every bit as special as the man himself.

Finally, our deepest thanks go to Warrant Officer Lee Backhouse MBE of the Coldstream Guards for the incredible honour of walking Ken to the crematorium and for taking part in the service. Your presence added something truly special to an unforgettable farewell.

The kindness, support and respect shown by everyone today has meant more than words can say.

We would like to let everyone know that the funeral service to celebrate the life of Ken Clarke will take place on Tuesday, 28th July 2026 at 11:20am at Wakefield Crematorium.

Ken dedicated so much of his life to his family, our business, and the local community. We know that many people have asked how they can pay their respects, and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness and support that has been shown.

If you would like to attend the service, please send us a message so we can make sure there is enough space for everyone who wishes to be there.

Following the service, the wake will be held at Hanging Heaton Golf Course, White Cross Rd, Dewsbury WF12 7DT.

We would also like to ask our customers to please bear with us between 10:30am and 11:30am on the day, as our team will be taking this time to say goodbye to a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, colleague, and friend.

Thank you for your continued understanding, your kind words, and the support you have shown us. It has meant more than you know.
