The first Prepworks full underside refresh. This car came to us for some other work back in January from . Whilst it was in then, it was identified that the car would benefit from some further refinishing and an underside refresh. We planned this for early summer. The car left us at the beginning of August. We stripped the car down, removing front and rear subframes, suspension, brakes, radiators and all front hoses. We had some issues with corroded brake likes and had to replace some sections with new from Porsche and a new set of HEL Performance | Official lines from stock, and we also installed a set of softer Öhlins - Automotive springs to the R&T dampers on the car. Our process involves stripping the car back to reveal all the small areas of corrosion on the car, these are generally caused by stone chips etching into the factory E coat (there is no underseal/coating on a 996 or 997 GT3). We then treated all bare metal areas with a rust killing compound, before a 2k primer and exterior colour matched U-POL Raptor coating. This is a service we now offer for all 996 or 997 GT3. If you are worried about the condition of your car, we can do an assessment before talking about next steps, we can also provide estimates for the work if necessary. Please get in touch.
