An opportunity is available for a highly motivated and skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our incredibly successful team here at Drury Lane.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and highly skilled technician with an outstanding reference. To keep up-to-date with the ever evolving industry, the successful candidate will be willing to learn and will take advantage of the many training and development opportunities available in post. Experience working with VAG, BMW and Jaguar/Land Rover auto systems is also desirable but not essential to shortlisting.

The appointed candidate will enjoy a competitive salary with pay recognition for outstanding performance, state of the art equipment, excellent facilities and annual paid leave.

Common Problems with EGR System

- EGR Valve Failure: A faulty EGR valve can lead to poor engine performance, rough idling, and increased emissions. It may get stuck open or closed, disrupting the correct flow of exhaust gases.

- EGR Cooler Clogging: Over time, carbon deposits and soot can accumulate in the EGR cooler, obstructing the flow of exhaust gases. This can cause overheating, reduced EGR efficiency, and potential engine damage.

- EGR Sensor Malfunction: The EGR system relies on sensors to monitor exhaust gas flow and ensure proper EGR operation. Sensor failures can result in incorrect EGR valve positioning and affect engine performance.
