Strangely the Centaur won on this occasion. On paper the Meteor powered Cromwell should have left the Liberty powered Centaur for dust - maybe next time?

We shall be there supporting vehicles from the Bannister Historic Armour Collection.

It's easy to think Operation Market Harborough is all about the tanks and vehicles... but it isn't.

The vehicles may be what first catch your eye, but it's the people behind them who make this show what it is. Our arena is more than somewhere to display historic vehicles it's where owners get the rare opportunity to drive alongside one another, share their passion and bring history to life in a way that you will struggle to see anywhere else!

We're also incredibly proud to bring together museums, preservation groups, re-enactors and enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond. By putting everyone in one place, we're not only creating an unforgettable weekend, we're helping organisations showcase their collections, inspire new enthusiasts and encourage more people to support military history and preservation.

Every year our goal is simple: bring more people together, create more opportunities and help ensure these incredible vehicles continue to be seen, heard and enjoyed for generations to come.

This year we have the incredible support of over 200 private vehicle owners, The Tank Museum, Bannister Historic Armour Collection, B & E Boys Ltd, The Weald Foundation, Norfolk Tank Museum, Armourgeddon Tank Driving Centre & Museum, War Heritage Institute, Bastogne Barracks and Cobbaton Combat Collection, Armoured Engineeringand many many more!

Armour & Embarkation 19 - 21 June 2026

We attended the best period road rally of its kind in the UK in support of the Bannister Historic Armour Collection (BHAC) with the Ford M8 Greyhound. The vehicle ran very well after a winter repair programme which included the inspection our new made stainless steel wheel cylinders after a year of use.

Sadly we had to be recovered from the MOD training area after breaking a brass clutch hydraulic union through “misadventure”. Gavin spotted a hydraulic leak during a routine halt check and tried to resolve the issue. On this occasion he failed spectacularly 😂

It’s hard to pin a highlight on just one moment, but the Morten ford on Saturday and the off-road route to Martinstown were great fun, and something to remember for years to come.
