As many of you know, we have been very lucky to have been in business for over 25 years — although somehow it still feels like yesterday!
Over those years we’ve met some wonderful (and occasionally rather boisterous!) customers. Some weren’t exactly spring chickens when I first met them either! 😂
But one thing you quickly learn running a small local business is that long-standing customers become much more than customers. You get to know them, their families and their stories, and in a strange way they become part of our working family.
We see it especially at Christmas, when customers turn up with cards and little gifts for the team — anything from chocolates and beer to the occasional packet of Hobnobs! 😂 Those small gestures genuinely mean a huge amount to us.
Sadly, over 25+ years we've also said goodbye to some lovely people through moving away, ill health and, sadly, some who are no longer with us.
Today we had to say goodbye to one of our longest-standing customers, who we've had the privilege of looking after for many years. It was one of those moments that makes you realise a small business is about far more than fixing cars.
So to all our customers, past and present — thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, your laughs and for being part of our journey. We genuinely appreciate every one of you. ❤️
