Investigating a Raymarine Autopilot reporting a “Drive Stopped” error, I discovered the drive motor brush carrier to have been damaged with pieces missing.

On a tight deadline with lack of spares, it made a good project for the apprentice to 3D print some replacement parts and get the drive back into operation the same day.
