Mercedes E63 came in to us for an overheating/coolant temperature issue.

The customer had been to the main dealer and had a very expensive quote for the engine to be stripped down to diagnose the fault.

He then went to the internet, which made him more nervous about the potential fault and the costs which he could be heading to.

The customer found us on the Internet and from recommendations and decided to get a second opinion from us.

After carrying out several checks and spending time analysing live data with our diagnostic equipment, we found fault with the engine thermostat and housing.

The thermostat had seized and was not operating as intended to.

Quick call to mercedes, part ordered, and replaced.

Fault fixed, customer releived and very happy.

We see it all.........this mercedes came in for a mot.

They say a picture can tell you a story....in this case, its a reflection of the way the owner looks after his vehicle. 😩

The car did fail on other issues, customer was supprised it failed and said its ' perfect, i checked it over myself'.

Just another day in the workshop.

Audi A5

This car came in for diagnostics, as it had a engine fault light displayed and reduced in power.

We did what we do best.........FAULT TO FIX!

We carried out diagnostics and several tests of components, checking data that we received from the engine ecu.

After identifying the faults, we ordered the parts needed from the main dealer.

The faults we found were:
1. Turbo tempreture sensor fault
2. 1, 4 and number 5 glow plugs were not working.
3. Failed dpf regeneration and excessive soot mass

All parts replaced, faults cleared and road tested.

you know who to call........another job carried out with precision and knowledge.

This BMW 1 series came in to us after the customer had been messed about by main dealers and several independant garages.

Yet again we see a car that was miss diagnosed and random parts were changed to fix the fault.

Customers complaint:

Vehicle would randomly loose power, engine fault light would appear and then disapear.

Sometimes the customer would be on the motorway, and the vehicle would loose power and cut out....making it very dangerous.

The vehicle was originaly recovered to the main dealer.....diagnosed and supposadly fixed and the customer was £700 lighter.

Yet again, same situation, car would loose power and sometimes cut out.

Then the vehicle was taken to a independant garage, diagnosed and fixed. The customer was assured that this time the fault was 💯% fixed and they would not have any issues. More money spent.......

You guessed it.....it happened again.

I must get over 10 calls a day, with people in a similar situation, were they have trouble in finding someone to fix there vehicle correclty. Most people get our number by recomendation.

This customer had his vehicle recovered to us, at a last ditch attempt to have his vehicle fixed, otherwise it was getting traded in!!!!!!

I am not sure how the previous garages diagnosed this so wrong, when clearly all they needed to do was understand the fault codes and the way they were presented.

We replaced no parts, we just fixed the fault. We understand the way cars work and talk....thats our Job.

6 hours of my labour, no parts, and the vehicle is defantly fixed.

VW TRANSPORTER

Customer had a long list of faults for us to work through....after putting up with them for so long, she finaly had enough.

The deal was, she dropped it off, and wanted to collect it once all faults were fixed.

We got started:
1. Central locking not workkng
2. Cam belt and water pump service
3. Engine service
4. Suspension noise
5. Battery drain
6. Interior lights not working

Tick, tick, tick, boom.

All faults fixed, test drove, and ready to hand back to customer.

We are happy when the customer is happy.

AUDI S3 2.0L TFSI.

This car came in to us with the engine light on and running very poorly.

Customer was dreading the wurst, thinking his engine had gone and he needed a replacement.

After carrying out diagnostics and assessing live data from the ecu, we quickly affirmed what was causing the fault.

The timing chain had stretched, causing the engine timing to be out, resulting in the poor performance.

Full timing chain kit and guides replacement. This includes the hydraulic tensioner, all gaskets and the front timing chain cover.

We also, as preventative mainatnce, removed the sump and cleaned out the oil pick up.

All done with the correct tools and manufacturer procedures.

We always invest having the correct knowledge and tools to do these types of jobs.

Bmw 1 series 118i

Came in to us on a recovery truck.

After investigation, we found the timing chain had failed and caused serious damage within the engine.

We had 2 options, we either source a second hand engine, or strip and rebuild the current engine.

From previous experience, finding a good, low millage engine is not easy. Specially when these engine are prone to chain failure.

So we opted for a full strip down and rebuild.

Not the quickest or the easiest to do, but very rewarding. Knowing, that engine is as good as new inside and out.

All the skills, all the knowledge.
