2009 Audi A3

A very wet Sunday morning ✅

Customer contacted me as they had recently had a water pump fitted by a new garage after the car was loosing all its coolant. The customer stated that after the work had been done, the vehicle was still loosing coolant. After some quick diagnosis, we quickly found that the coolant system wasn’t bled up properly, causing the coolant system to have an air lock which meant the coolant was evaporating and escaping. After about 30 minutes of bleeding the coolant system, the customer is now back on the road.

BMW M135i 2015

The vehicle came to me as the customer said it was starting to “bog” in the lower rpm range. After some further diagnosis and some live data tests it was clear to me that the spark plugs needed changing.

I advised the customer to get the spark plugs changed. They later on rang me to tell me that the issue was fixed and they were grateful for my help and advice.

Another happy customer on the road ✅

Land Rover defender 2014

Customer came to me with a DPF light that kept popping up. He told me the vehicle had done about 7k miles in the last year.

After plugging the vehicle in, we realised that it wasn’t getting driven far enough for the DPF to do a clean whilst the vehicle was driving.

We managed to do force regeneration on the vehicle and the light has no longer come back up.

I advised the customer it would be good to have it serviced more regularly if it’s doing only 7k miles a year.

But another customer back on the road, stress free motoring ✅

VW GOLF GTI 2017

The car came to me with one headlight not working. Shortly realising that the lights are LED and not normal halogen bulbs, I realised that something wasn’t right.

After plugging my machine it, I soon found out that there was no communication with the headlight module on the drivers side.

After some tests and adaptations we came to the conclusion that the control module needed to be replaced.

Spoke to Volkswagen and they told me it would be £256 for a new control unit. Went on eBay, exact same part number, £58.

Don’t be fooled by the prices garages tell you, there’s always a cheaper option!

After a week or so, we fitted the new control unit, cleared the fault codes, and the car was back on the road safely.

VW POLO 2012

Came in for an EML and Oil light on dash. After some diagnostics we found that the oil filter hadn’t been changed in a while, Causing it to block up and not give the engine the correct oil pressure (hense the light).

Did a quick oil + filter change, cleared the codes, and the car was back on the road better than ever.
