The clocks go back at 2am, which means darker nights are ahead, so now is the time to check all your lights are working correctly.

Don’t get caught out with your Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s), thinking your main lights are on when you set off on your journey. Most cars only have front DRL’s which means your rear lights aren’t on. This is dangerous and can result in collision.

RS Auto’s can check and replace your bulbs, so give us a call and get your car ready for the dark nights ahead.

With temperatures dropping to below freezing over the forthcoming week, it’s important to make sure your car is winter ready.

As well as checking your antifreeze, screen wash, windscreen wipers and tyres, it’s important to make sure all your lights are working. Many car owners never notice their lights are out until their MOT check and it’s dangerous to drive without them all working and so easy to get replaced.

Also it’s important to check your battery. If you have had any problems in the past or haven’t used your car in a while it may need charging or replacing.

The clocks go back tonight, so most of us will be using our car lights more than usual from tomorrow, meaning this is the perfect time to check all your lights are working correctly, so that you can see properly whilst driving in the dark and other cars can clearly see you.

The police can stop you for having non-working lights and it can also be dangerous at night, giving other motorists a false impression of the size and position of your vehicle.

If any of your lights aren't working, pop along to simply get the bulbs changed or have any wiring faults repaired.

Don't leave it until tomorrow. Check them now.

Now that summer appears to be over, it's time to get your car ready for the cold months ahead.

The cold weather can be tough on cars, so it's best to be prepared, rather than stuck by the side of a road!

It's time to replace your wipers, make sure your heater is blowing hot air and that all your lights are all working. It's worth getting your battery checked too, especially if it's older than 5 years old. Old batteries don't like cold weather.
