Today we replaced the clutch on this Peugeot 207. The customer reported that the vehicle wouldn’t go above 10mph, it’s not hard to see why with the missing friction material. However, I did feel awkward doing it outside a garage 😂.

However, it looks like something great has come from it. After speaking to the garage, we may be providing some short term staff cover for them in the coming weeks, it will be nice to be out of the rain 😂.

After working 13 days straight, we decided that Sunday would be a day of rest. However, a call come in from a stranded group, not too far from us. So me and my mini mechanic protégé got our capes on and rushed to collect the parts required and made our way there. The job was done and dusted in 20 minutes and the customer was able to make their way back to Southampton. It’s great to know we were the paracetamol to someone’s headache 😎.

Today we attended this Mercedes E class. We had previously diagnosed a coolant leak on the fuel filter bracket/pipe. The customer accepted our quote and we returned as soon as the parts were delivered. After a few hours and a good road test, we were able to confirm the leak was gone. One happy customer. This Freelander was treated to a full set of flexi brake hoses, a full set of copper brake lines with new fittings, a set of discs and pads, and a brake caliper for good measure. The customer had received quotes locally which were going to send the car to the scrap yard. We were called out to an area we wouldn’t normally cover and turned this around in a day and at a fraction of the cost, apparently 🤷🏽. One happy customer 👌
