Really looking forward to this weekend.
I shall have the pleasure of spannering for the team as well as refueling and pitboard duties. The load very much lightened this year by my club mate Dan from Total Revamp who manufactured that gorgeous tank.
Don't forget the race is on a live feed on YouTube so you can see how SLUK Racing are getting on. The link is in the article.
We won our class comfortably last year but this meant we move up a class so will be a real challenge.
Keep an eye out also for our friends London Lambretta club which also has my club mate Tony as a team member.
Finally a thank you to Keith Terry, Mickey Bonnet and their team for making this happen.
Hopefully next time spectators will be allowed and then this event surely will be a must do in the Scootering calender.

My old mate Mick Taylor is selling this beauty.
This isn't just any ordinary scooter. Knowing Mick as I do it will have have the best parts available. No corners cut anywhere.
You have to see the paint in the flesh to appreciate it.
The engine has been built at Readspeed by Jerome and there's 32hp on tap.
In case any bulbs were considering any negative comments jog on your tiresome comments will just be deleted.

He wants 6.5k for it. No one cares whether you think it's worth that or not. They also don't care if you don't believe how powerful it is.

It was a real pleasure to work on Steve Howes lovely Spanish P200E.
He had a nip up in the summer and after a little look it was obvious the engine needed a complete strip and rebuild.
I'd got one on Pro Portings stage 4 kits on the shelf so that was married up to a BGM 60 mm crank. New bearings and seals throughout.
New set of cables and a rewired stator also.
Wish the weather was better because I really enjoyed the road test.
Who doesn't love an orange MK1 P2?

OK so the lanky person has had another idea, aimed not primarily at scooterists but those who ride off-road and on-water, or indeed commute all year round. He was looking for a good brand name for it so he pinched mine (with permission).

Introducing the DIABLO MOTO HELMET STAND which is a triangular construction in 3D printed plastic that supports a crash helmet ‘the wrong way up’ so it can air and dry.

Cor this one was a bu**er. It only came in for a service but ended up having a full engine build, complete front end overall including steering bearings,cups and races and a full set of cables inners and outers.
It's a nice little scoot now though for Bob Greenways daughter.
Hope she has loads of smiles per mile.

Testing the Polini CP carb on Steve Rushtons GT186.
They are 24mm in front of the slide and 26mm behind.
Physically they are tiny. Once set up this made the same power as the 25mm phbl carb it replaced. The curves overlaid were almost identical.
Micky at RLC is running one on his Quatrini and actually gained power over a 30mm.
I'm building a TS1 tourer for a friend of mine with lowered timings. This is the carb I'll be using.
Shame they look so puny. Big carbs are sexy!
