2026 Yamaha MT-10 & Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor — two very different visions of what the next generation of high-performance naked motorcycles can be.
The Yamaha MT-10 uses a 998cc CP4 inline-four derived from Yamaha’s superbike technology. With its distinctive crossplane firing character, strong torque and aggressive power delivery, the MT-10 combines superbike performance with the upright riding position and attitude of a hyper-naked machine.
The Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor represents a much more experimental approach. Built around Honda’s electronically controlled compressor concept and a compact V3 engine, it explores how forced induction could deliver strong performance and torque without relying on an extremely large displacement.
One represents the evolution of a proven formula, while the other points toward a possible future of performance motorcycles: Yamaha with its legendary CP4 engine and Honda exploring electronically controlled forced induction. Two fascinating approaches to naked-bike performance. 🏍️🔥
