This couldโve gone very differently. ๐จ Called out to an Audi A7 broken down right next to the ice stadium in Nottingham, sat right on a live lane. Cones were barely out before cars started passing us at speed โ some so close I couldโve reached out and touched them. Traffic building, no room to move, and people just werenโt slowing down or giving space.
This is the reality of roadside recovery. Weโre out there in high-vis, working feet away from live traffic, and it only takes one driver not paying attention to turn a routine job into a tragedy. Got the vehicle loaded and got us both out safely this time โ but itโs a stark reminder of how close it can get.
๐ If you ever pass a recovery truck, breakdown, or roadworks on the road: slow down, move over if you safely can, and give us room to work. It genuinely saves lives.
Stay safe out there. ๐๐
