This could’ve gone very differently. 🚨 Called out to an Audi A7 broken down right next to the ice stadium in Nottingham, sat right on a live lane. Cones were barely out before cars started passing us at speed — some so close I could’ve reached out and touched them. Traffic building, no room to move, and people just weren’t slowing down or giving space.

This is the reality of roadside recovery. We’re out there in high-vis, working feet away from live traffic, and it only takes one driver not paying attention to turn a routine job into a tragedy. Got the vehicle loaded and got us both out safely this time — but it’s a stark reminder of how close it can get.

👉 If you ever pass a recovery truck, breakdown, or roadworks on the road: slow down, move over if you safely can, and give us room to work. It genuinely saves lives.

Recovery job. Small Citroen. Student going overseas. Sounds easy — until the “storage unit” turns out to be a bare metal shipping container. No ramp. No lift. So we did the only logical thing: pushed the entire car in by hand. Send help, my arms are gone. 😂🚗
