This incredible example of DB2/4 MKIII was supplied new in April 1959 to D.W.Harrison through H.W. Motors in Essex.
We believe this car is one of the best examples currently available in the world. Not only is this car full matching numbers, it has had a complete nut and bolt restoration, bringing it back to or if not better, when it left the factory in 1959.
The car is finished in the original Penoy Red exterior with the off white Connolly leather interior. Prior to the previous owner purchasing the vehicle, the car had a tougher inspection at a classic car specialist in Hamburg, Germany.
The previous owner spared no expense by bringing the car up to his ultra high standards, once this additional work had been completed, he instructed Klaus and Laura Kukuk to carry out a complete detailed inspection report on the Aston Martin. Klaus and Laura Kukuk are one of the world leaders in forensic classic car inspection and finding the minute details of the car that most won’t.
They rank the cars from 1 to 5 giving it a final score. Only 4 cars have ever been awarded a 1, this car scored in the 1-2 category with a 1.83, one of the driving factors for this score is that the restoration was done using period correct parts, and it also states that the car has been restored to better than concours condition with no expenses spared to bring the car inline with the rest of the extensive collection of the previous owner.
It’s a car that truly needs to be inspected to be appreciated. POA
