We're pleased to announce we'll be opening from 1st June and are now taking bookings. Although we'll be working on reduced staff and hours for the first few weeks, we're looking forward to welcoming our customers back, with our social distancing measures in place.

MOT's have been extended for 6-months, however, if you'd like your MOT carried out to ensure the road worthiness of your vehicle, we're able to do this.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, Wheldons Garage will now be closed for the next few weeks. The government have now extended MOT’s that expire from 30th March by 6 months (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-mot-centre-and-tester-guidance). This will happen automatically, you can check your vehicle details here: https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history

Vehicles due an MOT or that failed an MOT up to and including 29th March are still legally required to have this done (or registered SORN). We are still able to conduct MOT’s for these vehicles over the coming weeks.

The government guidelines suggest we stay open for essential repairs and essential services only. We are happy to do this to support those classed as key workers and those that require their vehicle for essential shopping and supporting other vulnerable people.

From Monday 30th March we will be working on reduced staff and closing early each day. We will be ensuring the social distancing guidelines are followed to protect our staff and customers.

If your work request is not deemed essential, please do not be offended if we refuse, we are open for essential work only; we are following government guidelines and have our own families to think of.

We would request again that if you or a family member have symptoms or are self-isolating not to bring your vehicle into our garage. This also applies to the extremely vulnerable group identified by the government.

We will do our best to support those classed as key workers and those who support vulnerable people, so please contact us if you need support.

In response to government restrictions, our garage will only be opening for MOT's and essential repairs, where supplies and parts are available. Please note this may change in line with government updates.
