TOMCAT OF THE MONTH – Richard Johnstone 🔥
We’re kicking off a new monthly feature showcasing our customers’ builds—and first up is Richard’s stunning Tomcat 100 🚗💨

This build means more than just performance. Richard’s dad wasn’t a petrolhead and had very little off-road experience, but he took real joy in watching the Tomcat come together—making it a truly special project ❤️
One of Richard’s favourite trips was over to the Republic of Ireland, visiting friends and helping raise money for the Irish Cancer Society through a 4x4 event he helped organise. The Tomcat has also competed in the Mac4x4 Challenge in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, as well as plenty of green laning and London to Brighton runs 🌍
The build started life as a 1991 Land Rover Discovery 1 (with a rotten wheel arch!) before being transformed 🔧 Featuring reconditioned diffs from Ashcroft Transmissions, an R380 gearbox, a rebuilt 200TDI engine, a variable vane turbo, and upgraded intercooler and radiator from AlliSport Ltd—this Tomcat sits on a shortened chassis and is built to perform 💪
