Getting your car ready for the colder months? Here are a few simple checks you can do at home π
β Tyre pressure & tread: Cold weather causes pressure to drop, so check this alongside tread depth (minimum 1.6mm) for adequate grip in wet or icy conditions.
β Battery health: Batteries come under increased strain as temperatures fall, so if your car has struggled to start recently, it may be worth having it tested.
β Lights: With darker mornings and evenings ahead, make sure all your lights are functioning correctly.
β Screen wash & wipers: Top up your screen wash and check your wiper blades, this clears road grit and grime while stopping the fluid freezing in cold temperatures.
β Coolant levels: Check these to help protect your engine from freezing in low temperatures.
