MOT testing:
Please be aware !
New MOT testing rules came into force from May 2020, meaning that instead of vehicles being given a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ rating at their MOT, any defects will now be categorised as:
1/ ‘Dangerous’,
2/ ‘Major’
3/ ‘Minor’
With the first two of these, dangerous or major, resulting in a test failure DVSA, warns that a vehicle should not be driven in this condition until it has been repaired. There is no longer a 10 day grace period.
We will always endeavour to carry out any small repairs the same day as the MOT test but larger repairs may have to re-booked in at the first available date.
This may result in a vehicle being off road pending those repairs.
