Hi, my dear follwers and pupils, want to update on my health state.
Had shoulder surgery 30th of March, feeling better, starting physio on 4th of May and it will last 3 weeks.
Coming back to Norwich on 4th of June and hope to be back to teaching mid June.
Will need knee replacment but it will not happen very soon, probably next year.
So, I'm back a bit earlier.

Fancy looking at a day in the life of a driving instructor?

Here goes......

We get abuse for being in the correct lanes.

We get abuse for sticking to the speed limits.

We get abuse for slowing down because it says so on the road.

We get abuse for pulling up outside your house.

We get abuse because the driver didn’t set off quick enough.

We get abuse for stalling.

We get abuse for not tailgating the car in front.

We even get abuse for not blocking junctions and not going into a box junction.

We get abuse when you kindly let a learner out but they don’t react as quick as you would like them too.

Please don't beep your horn, it really won't speed us up.

Until we teach one of your family to drive then for a short time the abuse stops, but only for a short time.

We're asked not to use a person's car to practice parallel park, but when we enquire where the person practiced their parallel when learning they reply a car at the side of the road - but that doesn't mean you can use mine !!!!!

We have all had to learn to drive, it’s funny how quickly we forget what it’s like.

We forget what it’s like to approach your first roundabout, the first parallel park, the first crossroads.

Please have a thought for us and our Students, it could be your son, daughter, niece, nephew. We can’t use a class room and trust me we don’t like holding you up anymore than you do!

Long time posted anything, not because no passes, just too busy to do that but today is a special pass, Charlie is a young guy, did excellent on his training and passed today on his first test.
Also he is a boxer and a future star, it's nice memories for me

As the weather gets sunnier, it's important to remember Rule 93 of The Highway Code ☀️

It says:

"Slow down, and if necessary stop, if you are dazzled by bright sunlight" 👀

The Highway Code says:

Take extra care on country roads and reduce your speed at approaches to bends, which can be sharper than they appear, and at junctions and turnings, which may be partially hidden.

Be prepared for pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists, slow-moving farm vehicles or mud on the road surface. Make sure you can stop within the distance you can see to be clear. You should also reduce your speed where country roads enter villages 🛣️
