Latest few jobs we've done..

Ford Ranger wildtrak requiring our adblue solution and performance tune

2x fleet Peugeot Boxer vans requiring adblue solutions after one suffered with a worn pump resulting in the dreaded mileage countdown and the other suffered with a fully crystalised system preventing it working at all

All of these jobs where carried out with no issues and leaving both customers very happy with the outcome

Last night we went to see chris again, but this time letting us get our hands on his clean mercedes sprinter 313 after having a previous conversation of the van feeling a bit sluggish and could do with a bit more power 😁

We opted for bench connection this time to save any connection issues which safe to say went smoothly.

Im really looking forward to hearing how chris gets on with the van after the performance tune packs a punch compared to standard figures listed below...

Were getting more and more demand for our Adblue/DEF solutions and good reasons why

If your vehicle is relatively new/low mileage you'd expect that the system will be faultless........ ❌️ This isnt always the case, with dealerships struggling to fit you in for weeks, and when they can fit you in they're waiting for parts if they haven't convieniently got your parts on the shelf and independant garages only able to read and try reset error codes

This leaves you with a vehicle that could be littered with error codes relating to this system and in most cases it leaves you with a mileage countdown before starting of the engine is prohibited 🙅‍♂️

With nearly 10 years experience working alongside these systems on a variety of vehicles we know how much these systems can cost to repair or replace components with the labour charges thats are applied with the system 😱

Earlier today we had the pleasure of meeting Chris with his tidy VW Amarok 3.0 V6 which had been suffering from adblue error codes and no start limitation

We scanned the truck first to make sure there where no other error codes than the ones causing the adblue limitation ✅️

Then as under the inital request we extracted the files to carry out our adblue solution before writing the new files back onto the ECU

Followed up by another scan to make sure our work was done and fault was rectified ✅️

Leaving the customer happy that he wont have to worry about further adblue problems on a vehicle thats done less than 50k miles 😱

This recent weekend we had the pleasure of installing this cylinder head back onto this Nissan Navara with the 2.5 YD25DDTI engine.

We've been working on this to find out the cause of the issues regarding the cooling system bubbling over within seconds, poor circulation and lack of heat through the interior fans.

Rather than just tearing into it and removing the head we decided to be methodical in our approach and test things first to be 100% sure with the overall repairs.

This meant whilst undertaking the diagnostics we found the following🧐:

- The radiator was partially blocked resulting in poor flow and not allowing the thermostat to open when coolant reached operating temperature

- Original thermostat was siezed followed by second/replacement not opening correctly so third was sourced

- EGR cooler blown so we opted to carry out an EGR solution to prevent further failures and to minimise misdiagnosis and preventing the exhaust manifold being flooded by coolant again

- Exhaust gasses not present (using a die tester) in the cooling system 🤔

- Cooling system pressurising to 20psi after radiator was changed within 30seconds 😱

- Heater matrix wasnt blocked after flushing through the ports in the firewall

So after our diagnosis this left us with the last resort and that was head off... once the head was removed it was apparent upon removal that there was a case of head lift on cylinder 3 this resulted in combustion pressures to seep into the cooling system.

Big thank you to EDS Norwich needed for carrying out their services and as you can see from the photos from the job, the cylinder head needed their attention which helped us carry out a clean/tidy first time fix 💪 with them being able to supply the head bolts and gasket kits to save down time from external sourcing.

Thank you to PF Jones for supplying this reconditioned fuel pump for this customers Honda CRV 2.2 i-cdti

Following on from our previous post and visit regarding the snapped shaft on the original fuel pump which resulted in engine stall and not able to restart.

It took no time at all to install, with a clean up of fuel lines that had been opened for repairs followed up with testing to make sure the engine would start and run as it should making correct rail pressures with the new pump.

Little job we've had recently, customer phoned us stating car cut out whilst driving and would not start again, so we went out there and checked for error codes first due to error warning flashing on the dashboard

This revealed that the engine had recorded the following errors:

🚫 Turbo boost pressure high - calulated
🚫 Turbo boost pressure mismatch
🚫 Low fuel pressure at fuel rail
🚫 Engine speed below threshold

Further diagnostics resulted in us finding out that no fuel was reaching the injectors or the fuel rail but fuel was reaching up to the high pressure fuel pump using the hand primer and the fuel shut off working correctly.

The vehicle was recovered off the road to a safer place to work on and we then removed the high pressure fuel pump to find the fuel pump shaft had broken internally for the fuel lift pump section built into the main pump body, dissabling fuel feeding the high pressure side of the circuit.

New reconditioned high pressure fuel pump on order should see this vehicle back on the road very soon with another happy customer

Yesterday we spent some time with the customer of this Ifor williams livestock trailer which needed some attention to the wiring.

This involved tracing wires from defective lights to two junction boxes and back to the 7pin connector at the rear of the vehicle to find a pin dislodged from the connector, once that was resolved we where able to trace power losses along wiring and find breakages and weak connections which we repaired properly giving a permenant fix.

We also fitted two new marker lights supplied by customer in replacement for the old broken ones which required new light placement and different wire routing to prevent the replacement lights being in the same vulnerable positions.

We dont just do tuning, we can do diagnostics and repairs too!

Last night we got the chance to spend some time on this stunning Bali Blue LandRover Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 which had an intermittent error code flagging up on the dashboard, after having been previously checked from sensor to ecu and no faults found with the hardware, the customer opted to try our error code removal.

Firstly we started by scanning the vehicle to make sure there where no further error codes then followed by error code clear and ecu removal.

Safe to say we carried out the job as requested with no issues at all and now the customer can peacefully drive around without having the unsightly view of an error message on the dash board.
