Be careful how you book, change or swap your test. All my students that have tests booked through me, have now had them handed over and control taken away from me. I will be here for advice if any tests need to be booked, changed, swapped or cancelled so that no-one is scammed.
⚠️ A warning for learners ⚠️
Please be careful who you are sending money to when looking for driving test cancellations.
As of tomorrow no one can BOOK you a test no one can SWAP a test but you.
💥BUT WE WILL HAVE PUPILS WHO ARENT READY, AND CAN ADVISE HOW YOU CAN SWAP SAFELY AND NOT BE SCAMMED💥
That vulnerability is exactly what some people take advantage of.
They found a page on facebook claiming they could get them a test within the same month.
WhatsApp number was exchanged.
Everything looked convincing.
Booking confirmations.
Professional messages.
Promises of fast tests.
They paid £200 immediately.
No test appeared, no refund came back the person disappeared.
When you are upset after failing, emotions can take over.
You feel pressure, panic and frustration.
You start thinking you must get another test straight away before the waiting times become even longer.
THIS IS WHEN YOU ARE MOST VULNERABLE!
That is also when scammers know people are most vulnerable.
Please remember this:
⚠️ Do everything through the official GOV.UK website.
⚠️ Keep checking yourself regularly for cancellations. Genuine cancellations do appear if you are patient and persistent.
⚠️ Be very cautious of random social media accounts asking for bank transfers or WhatsApp payments.
⚠️ Just because something “looks legit” does not mean it is.
⚠️ If somebody is pressuring you to pay quickly, step back and think.
I know the waiting times are frustrating.
I know failing feels horrible.
But losing your money to scammers makes a bad situation even worse.
Please stay careful 👀
