What a difference a week makes.πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜†

A week ago along with the rest of the "internet" world I saw Bourne's "amazing" k24 power making..... k20 πŸ‘€ 300+bhp with mad K24 esque torque.... after 3 video attempts ...... πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ πŸ‘€πŸ˜†

After all the Internet forore and personal digs at me from Bourne with tins of tuna, and abusive pms following on from their video even though hundreds of other people were saying the same things, this car got dragged into the pits at Brands Hatch during testing on the Saturday after just a few minutes, red flagging the session for them to just pack up and go home....... I was there. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜†

Then in the race the next day did a DNF on the first lap after qualifying with lap times below 230bhp Civic Cup times at Brands indy .... (pictures, videos available if your really bothered πŸ₯±πŸ€·β€β™‚️)

(Writing K20 on a picture of a K24 doesn't make it a K20 I'd say. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜†)

If your trying to push your products and be as legit as possible.... don't make fkups like this! πŸ˜†

I await Bournes next video attempt having digs at me ..... the facts and TSL times are there but I really think they have bigger things to concern themselves with than 1 outspoken person that calls BS on fake media posts to try and get traction and stay relevant πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

If your going to post up about some fancy K20 build.... dont be so stupid as to use a K24 dipstick as being right or wrong to try and bait responses as a professional company you should be leaving absolutely nothing up for possible debate and being as legit to all scrutiny as possible.

414bhp FK8 from Swansea today in for clearances and a custom remap on KTuner πŸ‘Œ

The KTuner V2 comes with its own screen and is still Bluetooth compatible so you can still port it to a phone or head unit to get the customisable gauges using Tunerview software

Im doing the V2s bundled with a soft case and screen mount which is a nice saving and they are really popular with the FK7 owners as well. πŸ‘Œ

Bruce's stunning Skyline in for mapping on a Link G4+ ECU we mapped way back in TDi North days but has had a few updates since like Electronic throttle body, intake plennum and new turbo.

Currently running 400bhp and pulling hard.
Will return soon to have vvt setup and a few more changes but we ran out of time on the hottest day of the year.

Sanity check for us all involved for the owner to take this cracking Exige S3 to a top 4WD linked dyno today to do some power runs and also see if the cars running a reduced limiter was due to only running 1 axel but clearly not.

I thought I had found a value for an error code limp mode which reduced the limiter by 2 or 4000rpm .... but clearly not. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜†

Possibly down to normal speed input as its measured by GPS and unfortunately not much you can do about that when its strapped down and in doors. πŸ˜†

Made same power as we saw as well BTW. πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ

Exige 350 in for mapping today with a load of parts fitted that is same spec as the Komotec 430 kit.... and for a fair bit cheaper

Car was making decent power to start with but fuel trims were adding a constant 20% fuel

I reset the trims and power dropped to pretty much stock before I lifted running dangerously lean

Few hours spent making adjustments and I've got the trims to within 2% now and the drivability is massively improved as its not having to make such big fuel corrections

Lovely car and a great result without having to spend an absolute fortune!

In all a great resukt and also a giod saving also included my mapping which is Β£600incl VAT not the Β£1500 I've seen quoted for the Komotec refresh.... and you can sit and watch it all happening. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Prelude went on the ramp Friday for a good poke around and see whats what.

Very interesting some of the parts used and layouts and it looks like the K20C will actually drop straight in but the big issue is going to be with all the sub systems like brakes, clutch etc

Going to have so much potential in years to come and the chassis is really good, needs lowering and stiffer setup and its very nimble around a flowing twisty road. πŸ‘

400bhp FK2! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ

Big issues with this one as it had previously been remapped elsewhere and the ECU password locked so no way it could be accessed by anyone other than the original mapper.

New owner wasnt happy with performance and it was supposedly 400bhp so came to us for diagnostics and possible remapping.

Found the car to be hesitant under load and way off the quoted 400 and when we started digging discovered the ecu was locked down.

Owner wasnt best pleased having driven 3 hrs to get to us but nothing much we could do, but we made a plan.

Contact was made with the suspected previous mapper who confirmed that the car was originally mapped by him but due to issues between the workshop and mapper with engine reliability the mapper had returned and wiped the ecu reverting it to stock and refusing to be further involved. It seems the car was then taken to someone else who put the map and lock onto it and we could get no further assistance.

Skip forward to today and we have a replacement ecu we installed coded the vin and keys and we are away.

Now remapped properly pulling smooth all the way to the limiter the cars ready for its upcoming euro trip.

Unfortunate that when mappers are effectively making ecus un readable/writable to everyone including dealers to protect their IP which wasnt that good with mods on the car you have to physically replace an expensive ECU so once again I cannot emphasise enough you need to do your homework before getting work done on your car. ⚠️

Its only got stock K20Z4 cams which is why its dropping off fast from 7000 so I'd expect to see it nearer 300 with a good set of cams and some porting but torque is spot on for the K24.

Car was setup and remotely tuned using Ecutek phoneflash the came in today to finish it off.
