On Sunday I took part in the local Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Cirencester on my pale blue metallic Moto Guzzi The organisers made a very professional video of the event.

I'm in it twice, exactly halfway through I overtake the camera car and at the end there's a still of me with Rob the organiser and an RAF chap.

Good news! The Cassington Bike Night had evolved this year into the British Bike Day on September 11 from 10-6.

Having had a bit of a scare that turned out to be a false alarm, I'm going to do a couple of things to raise money for Prostate Cancer Research.
This year's Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is on 23rd May. I'll be doing what they call a "Solo Route Ride" in Cirencester in my most dapper clobber. It's not a group ride but they set a course and you circulate at your own leisure. If anyone would like to chuck a few quid into the pot to support this worthy cause that will affect a lot of blokes my age then please follow the link below.

I'm also doing their "Cycle 100 miles in May" as a way of easing back into cycling. I know 100 miles is a only nice day out for some of you lot but I've not ridden regularly for probably 15 years. I should really start updating this page again.

As Spring springs, activity in the shed is picking up. Yesterday the Tengai project went to a new home in Blackburn, tomorrow the ZX7R is off to Kidderminster, and the VF1000-FII has a new owner lined up.

Can't wait for the lockdown to lift!

I just went to change the fuel filter on my Gran Canyon to see if that's what is causing it to miss. Pop off the side panel, unscrew the bracket and release the straps that hold it on. Disconnect the fuel lines, and just pop it out through the big space in the frame. Ah. The filter has a 50mm diameter, the space is about 55mm across, but they put 2 large bosses in to attach the bracket to! Major fail! Luckily it can be worked out over the engine and out of the front.

Next, into the shed to where I know my box of service parts has a metal bodied fuel filter. Air filter, oil filter both present - no fuel filter! Bu**er! Filter now ordered and I'll have to be patient for a day or two.
