Race 3 and a 3rd podium finish of the weekend. Didn't quite have the legs to stay with the top 2, but pleased to bring the car home in one piece. It's always nerve wracking when you're racing a car that isn't your own. Dan Heywood took the win, he was absolutely on it!

3rd place podium in race 2. A first win for Morgan Harris in car 72, congrats to him. And another podium finish for championship leader Greg Jenkins. (Greg had to leave us early this weekend so missed race 3, i'm sure he would've been up at the front again)

Nearly 10 years since our last race at Cadwell Park and started off with a win. Extremely close battle with Greg Jenkins across the line 0.040 seconds! Thanks to Mighty Minis Racing for the hire of the yellow car, it was 100% reliable through qualifying and 3 races.

PSA 1.2 wet timing belt, replaced 4 years ago by the dealer and only covered 30,000 miles since 😱 bits of belt inside the vacuum pump, so the oil sump pan is definitely coming off this one to check the oil pick up.

Your aftermarket warranty won’t cover worn out spark plugs and poor service history . 2 of these plugs weren’t even tight. Car also has a badly perished wet timing belt which is now also being replaced.

Back to motorsport this weekend at Snetterton with Mighty Minis Racing. Simon has had a few years off (last Mighty Mini race in 2017!) No testing, missed out on the whole qualifying session due to a ‘fuel issue’ 🫣 . Completed 3 races finishing 6th, 8th and 5th. A great weekend had by everyone, decent weather, the best BBQ in the paddock, super clean driving standards, smiles all round.
Next round at Cadwell Park July 18/19, will we be back for more?
