Ray’s Oreca Renault Megane Trophy on the dyno for engine calibration ending a long term project for us. The Megane Trophy has a Nissan VQ35DE Engine, sequential 6 Speed gearbox with Hydraulic paddle shift and clutch actuation.

When the car came into us originally, the clutch actuation had failed and there was no longer any support for the stock engine management system. We removed original ECU and installed a full suite including a F90F ECU, PDUX4BAS PDU, Mini Comms Hub and SD4 steering wheel. We have replaced every single wire on this car with the loom built in Spec 55 Race wire and finished in Raychem DR25 heat shrink. Whilst this Megane was with us, we also replaced the stock inlet with a set of Throttle Bodies and .

After calibration, the engine produced 414 BHP and 333LB/FT.

Renault 5 Turbo 2 returns for conclusion to last weeks set up day.

went away to make changes to the fuel and ignition systems before returning to calibrate this morning. The car now has enough fuel to confidently run 1.2bar (and maybe more) however, it was set back to 1bar as the customers target figure was breached and its super safe. Even at 1bar and with high dyno cell temperatures, we experienced wheelspin on boost with the crossply tyres so it’s probably enough for now.
