Who has priority at these crossroads?

This is one of those situations that often confuses learner drivers and even experienced motorists.

🚗 One of the simplest ways to improve your driving? Look further ahead.

New drivers often concentrate on what's happening immediately in front of the car.

But the further ahead you look, the earlier you'll spot:

➡️ Junctions and roundabouts
➡️ Traffic slowing down
➡️ Pedestrians and cyclists
➡️ Parked vehicles
➡️ Changes in the road ahead

Spotting things earlier gives you more time to plan rather than react which usually means smoother, safer driving.

It's a simple skill, but one that can make a massive difference as your driving develops.

Learning to drive in Norwich or North Norfolk? I've put the details in the comments 👇

🎉🚗 ZERO DRIVING FAULTS!! What a pass, Alex! 🚗🎉

A massive congratulations to Alex, who passed his driving test yesterday at Norwich Peachman Way Test Centre with an incredible 0 driving faults! 👏👏

I genuinely couldn't be prouder of the determination and resilience you've shown to get to this point.

I took over Alex's lessons from another instructor, and there was quite a bit we needed to change and develop to turn him into the safe, confident and thoughtful driver he is today.

Our lessons have certainly never been dull Alex does love a chat! 😂 One of the things we had to work on was recognising when it was a good time to chat and when the road needed his full concentration. Yesterday showed just how far he's come.

The examiner gave some fantastic feedback too, particularly commenting on Alex's measured approach to roundabouts and hazards, along with his forward planning. To hear that after all the work we've put in was brilliant.

A big thank you also has to go to Mum and Dad for their patience and support throughout the whole process and especially Dad for all those extra practice drives. They really did make a difference.

Alex, keep driving exactly the way you did yesterday and enjoy the freedom you've worked so hard for.

And perhaps the best bit…

🚲❌ No more wet and cold bike rides to and from work!😂

Take care, mate. It's been an absolute pleasure.

0 driving faults. You can't do better than that! 🥳🚗💜

A common misconception about becoming a driving instructor…

That it’s only for people who’ve always worked in driving or transport.

In reality, many instructors come from completely different backgrounds — retail, office jobs, trades, even full career changes.

What matters more is:
• Patience
• Good communication
• A willingness to learn

With the right training and support, it’s a structured process to get qualified.

At Learning Kerb Driving Tuition, we guide you through each stage and help you build the skills you need to get started.

If you’ve been considering a change but weren’t sure if it was “for you”, it might be more accessible than you think.

Mini roundabouts don’t have to be confusing 🚗

If you’re learning to drive in Norwich or around Norfolk, you’ve probably already come across a few and they can catch you out if you’re not prepared.

The good news is the rules are simple once you know them:

✔ Slow down on approach
✔ Give way to traffic from the right
✔ Keep moving if it’s clear
✔ Treat it like a normal roundabout, just tighter

The biggest mistake we see from learners across Norwich and Norfolk? Hesitating too much or not checking properly before entering.

If mini roundabouts still feel stressful, you’re not alone. It’s something we help our learners get confident with every single day.

At Learning Kerb, we break it down step by step so you know exactly what to do, whether you’re driving through the city or out on Norfolk roads. No guessing, no panic, just clear, safe driving.

We’ve also got a full series on how to drive roundabouts properly, from mini to multi lane. Definitely worth a read if you’re learning or brushing up your skills.

Ready to feel confident at every roundabout? Book your lessons with Learning Kerb today.

Can you park on the right-hand side of the road?

This catches out loads of learner drivers in the theory test!

Many people think it's always illegal to park on the right, but the Highway Code is a little more detailed than that.

In this video, I'll explain:
✅ When it's legal to park on the right
🌙 The important rule about parking at night
⚠️ The common mistake that could lose you theory test marks

Knowing this simple rule could make the difference between passing and failing your theory test.

👇 I've put a link to my FREE Theory Test Starter Pack in the comments.

Inside you'll get:
📖 Theory test cheat sheets
🚫 Common learner mistakes
📅 A 28-day revision plan

Start revising smarter and pass your theory test with confidence! 🚗📚 Based on the Highway Code, parking on the right is generally allowed during the day where it's safe, but at night you must not park facing against the direction of traffic unless you're in a recognised parking space.

Where would you find this sign? 🚗

It’s one thing recognising a sign… but do you actually know where it appears and what to expect next?

That’s what really matters when you’re driving.

Be honest, would you know the answer straight away or would you be guessing?

A lot of learners across Norwich and Norfolk struggle with this until it’s properly explained.

At Learning Kerb, we go beyond just spotting signs. We teach you how to read the road ahead so nothing catches you out.

Want to feel confident in every situation, not just the easy ones?

Book your lessons with Learning Kerb today and let’s get you fully test ready.
