We are looking to hire a Parts and Service Advisor for our family run workshop based in North Tyneside.

Our business specialises in the replacement of vehicle keys and immobiliser parts, with customers all over the world. We work with main dealer franchises as well as smaller dependants.

We are looking for someone who has good experience dealing with telephone, email, web chat and front of house enquiries. You must be a well organised person with excellent attention to detail. You should also have good experience with electronic parts catalogues, being able to navigate through the relevant sections to identify the correct parts required. You must be proficient in using standard computer applications, e.g. Outlook, Excel etc.

The main duties and responsibilities of the job include:

Walk-in customer enquiries
Telephone enquiries
Email enquiries
Live chat
Booking in jobs / diary management
Identifying the correct parts using the relevant electronic parts catalogue
Ordering special order parts from trade suppliers

This is not specifically a sales role but you should be comfortable with some ‘light sales’, for example upselling and chasing up quoted jobs.

The working hours are 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). However, you should have some flexibility as occasionally you may need to work outside of these times. We are closed on bank holidays.

Mobile Vehicle Technician

Salary: £30,000 (negotiable) + Bonus

Hours: 40 per week

Start Date: TBC

We are looking for a suitably qualified, Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician to join our business. The ideal candidate would ideally be manufacturer trained and should be at the level of master tech / DET or above. Experience in electric vehicle and hybrid systems would be adventurous.

The role is prominently field based and will require the successful candidate to travel to our customers’ premises to complete the work required. Our main business activities are key replacement, fault diagnosis, repair of non-start vehicles, removal and installation of programmable modules.

The suitable candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

· Advanced diagnostic work including inspection, testing and repair of electrical circuits.

· Competent user of OEM diagnostic tools (full training will be given on each system, but the candidate should have good background knowledge using a similar OEM system in the past).

· Confident in reading and interpreting service and repair data, specifically electrical wiring diagrams.

· Confident user of standard computer systems, such as Microsoft Office.

Applicants should have flexible approach towards work and be highly motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude.

During quieter times the candidate will be expected to assist with general administration tasks. The candidate should have good written and oral skills.

Applicants must have a full UK driving licence with no restrictions.

Applicants must be qualified to IMI Level 3 or higher, a City and Guilds equivalent will also be suitable.
