We are happy to announce you can now book or enquire through WhatsApp for both garages.

We understand when life’s busy it’s not always easy to find time to call in to the garage. Maybe no signal at the times, think of something at night but forget by morning or even our phone lines might be engaged when receiving high level of calls. That’s why we have added WhatsApp to help.

When messaging to try limit delays if you can try give us plenty information. For example :
- Your name
- Vehicle make and model
- Vehicle Registration.
- Service you want to book/ Your enquiry
- When you want to be booked in if known.

These details would save a lot of back and forth and speed up your booking/enquiry. We may want to speak to you over the phone for some enquires also.

The WhatsApp will only be monitored during working hours, anything after closing time will be caught the following morning at opening.

✅✅✅ Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti ✅✅✅
🚨🚨🚨 Clutch & Timing Belt 🚨🚨🚨

2 weeks ago we had this Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti in. Clutch was slipping and the timing belt was to be replaced for customers peace of mind.

With working on Subarus since I was a teenager, I know when doing both these jobs it’s best to remove the engine.

With the engine removed a full timing belt kit including water pump and thermostat was fitted. Genuine Subaru Exedy clutch kit and thrust bearing were fitted after the flywheel was cleaned.

With the engine refitted to the Subaru with fresh oil and coolant it was nearly time to return the car back to its owner but not before the coolant is fully bled up and then test driven.

With a new week started, it wasn’t a weekend away from cars and the garage as expected.

My son has started to get keen on mechanics and engineering, so we spent some time working on his Ford Escorts before he got to take one for a track day on the hill climb. I couldn’t let him have all the fun, so followed up with a track day in one of the Subarus.

At this rate you might see David in the garage learning more over the summer holidays.

As for now, if anyone is wanting to book in this week. Get in touch before spaces fill up fully.

This morning we had the first of two engines to be removed from Subarus this week.

Going back to where the garage started working on Subaru Impreza.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. After today’s football results I feel there will be plenty that are not.

Bit of a different workshop for us today. A trip through to Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway for so young David can attend the Diesel Gala. The size of the components and machinery in the workshop here make a lot of the car garage parts look small.

We are closed every weekend nowadays, but if you need to reach us you can through the page and email at [email protected].

One of the vehicles in this week for servicing was this Volkswagen Arteon.

As part of our service we give the vehicle a check over. Customer was advised on front and rear brakes as well as front lower arms. With the customer giving the go ahead on all repairs, we replaced the necessary components.

After all the repairs were complete, the Volkswagen had wheel alignment carried out.

✅✅✅ Brake Pad & Disc Replacement ✅✅✅

This week we were asked to check this Skoda Octavia for a noise coming from the front of the vehicle. Owner was concerned as he had to go for a long drive this weekend.

Last minute, but we were more than happy to help. After a test drive and a check on the ramp it was found to need front brake pads and discs.

Once the brakes were fitted and test driven again, the customer had the car back ready for the weekend.

Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI Timing Belt Replacement

This week we had this Volkswagen Golf booked in for a timing belt replacement. All timing belts have a life expectancy and it’s better to prevent than cure.

Using the correct timing belt tool kit to hold the engine at the correct timing we could replace the timing belt kit.

🚂🚨🚂 Train Update 🚂🚨🚂

With several customers asking how young David got on with his steam train, here is a short video of the train once freed off, serviced and several components fixed on it.

Just awaiting a boiler test and then it can run off coal and water. For the time being, he’s been using compressed air to simulate the pressure in the boiler from the steam/water.
