BPW axle that has stretched UBolts causing the spring mounting brackets to eat in the axle beam. Also tearing off the locating lugs welded to the axle.
We cleaned off the damaged areas and welded them back to a level surface, attached heavier locating lugs and assembled the new parts ready to fit the axle and complete an alignment.

Lots of press work, lathe work and finally the big milling machine for slots and cross drilled holes.

Two BPW axles running with slack U bolts. The spring seat has eaten into the top of the beam.
We gouged out damaged material and built the axle beam back up using a multi pass weld process then formed the surfaces to suit the new spring saddle.
Plasma cut new saddle locators and welded into place.
