Stub shaft bent due to the heat and heavily gouged by the hub.

This repair took three days to complete.

Lots of press work, lathe work and finally the big milling machine for slots and cross drilled holes.

Bearing failure has welded the bearing race to the shaft, a slow process to cut away and repair shaft damage.

Two BPW axles running with slack U bolts. The spring seat has eaten into the top of the beam.
We gouged out damaged material and built the axle beam back up using a multi pass weld process then formed the surfaces to suit the new spring saddle.
Plasma cut new saddle locators and welded into place.
