🚗 WHAT IS THE EXAMINER ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR? 👀

Your driving test isn’t about being PERFECT it’s about showing the examiner that you can drive safely, independently and consistently. ✅

Here are some of the BIG things they’ll be watching:

👀 Observations Are you actually looking and reacting to what you see?

🪞 Mirrors Are you checking them at the right times and acting on what you see?

⚡ Planning ahead Are you spotting hazards early or dealing with everything at the last second?

🚦 Junctions & roundabouts Correct position, speed, observations and knowing when it’s safe to go.

🎯 Positioning Are you in the correct place on the road and maintaining a safe distance?

🚗 Speed Not just avoiding speeding! Are you making good progress when it’s safe?

🧠 Decision making Can you make safe decisions without needing someone beside you to help?

🕹️ Control Steering, clutch, gears, braking and moving off smoothly and safely.

⚠️ Dealing with mistakes Made a small mistake? DON’T PANIC! One mistake doesn’t automatically mean you’ve failed. Stay calm, fix it safely and keep driving.

The examiner is basically asking themselves one question:

👉 “Would I be comfortable with this person driving on their own after today?”

Show them the answer is YES! 💪🚗

🎉 BETTER LATE THAN NEVER… 😂🚗

Massive congratulations to Eoghan Taylor, who passed his driving test in Craigavon TWO DAYS AGO with 10 minors! 👏🔥

We’d have posted this sooner… but apparently Instructor Shane sends photos by carrier pigeon. 🐦📸😂

The important thing is Eoghan was much quicker at getting his licence than Shane was at getting us the photo! 🤣
