Full time opening for a fully Qualified Vehicle Technician.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and well established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of vehicles, maintaining the high standard of workmanship our customers have come to rely on.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to use your technical expertise in a fast-paced yet supportive working environment.

Please note: This position is only open to applicants with a minimum of five years’ experience within a garage environment.

Duties:

Conduct vehicle diagnostics by using A scan tool, schematics and mechanical knowledge to accurately identify issues.
Perform repairs and servicing on a range of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components etc.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialist equipment to carry out efficient assembly, disassembly, and repairs.
Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain detailed and accurate job card records of all work completed and parts used.
If necessary, provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining the repair process and answering any customer queries professionally.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Experience & Skills Required:
A minimum of five years’ proven experience in automotive repair or a closely related field (essential).
Strong knowledge of Diagnostic Scanners, wiring schematics, mechanical systems, and vehicle assembly processes.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance procedures.
Knowledge of electrical systems and repair techniques is highly desirable (but not essential).
Ability to interpret technical manuals and carry out effective troubleshooting.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Physical fitness suitable for heavy lifting and working in varied workshop conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay is dependant on experience.

Hi everyone,

It has come to our attention that some companies on the internet are claiming to have the ability to book your vehicle in to our workshop for work whether it be servicing or Mots etc. This is a scam!!!! We do not deal with any third party companies online at all!!! A customer was asked to pay money upfront to Service Stop who would then make the booking. It's all false and a scam so please be careful and remember,
If you want to make a booking the only way is to either phone, email or WhatsApp us. The best way is to phone!

Hi everyone,
Well how has that happened it's nearly Christmas already 🎁, 2024 has simply flown by.
Just so you know we will be closing on Friday the 20th December for our well earned Christmas break and then reopening again on the 2nd of January 2025. All fully recharged and ready to go again.

The complexity of vehicle technology over the past 20 years has advanced massively.
We had this one in for park assist not working and as you can see if you need to test any wiring or get to any units you have to strip out half the vehicle. Now this one turned out to be a real challenge as eventually we discovered there were two faults which was causing an issue. So one fault had created another in the same system. As you can imagine this was a real head scratcher at times but we did fix it in the end. This is why whenever you may experience running issues or something isn't working anymore you must remain patient and try to understand sometimes these things take a lot of time and investigation work to fix.

Mot tester/Mechanic required.

Fed up with the trade and feeling unappreciated then look no further.
We are looking for someone to join our team in June.
We are a mid sized garage with a big heart and for the right candidate you will be treated as a valued member of the team not just another employee.

We have a very good local reputation and need someone who has a very high standard of workmanship to join us. You must be able to work on your own and be able to use your own initiative if required. Also just as importantly you must be able to fit in. And it's for this reason if successful you will need to complete a three month probationary period so we can assess your skills level and working standards.

We offer very good rates of pay which are negotiable and will be awarded depending on your experience and skills level. Also we don't work at weekends which is a bonus in itself.

You must have at least five years experience working in a car repair workshop.
