Here's another engine rebuild I've had on the go. This was a performance build for a nova turbo project how ever the original builder put in expensive parts forge piston and rods but unfortunately didn't tighten anything to correct settings resulting in major problems. Luckily i got involved before it totally destroyed itself

Had a customers fiat 500 in for full service timing belt and water pump as I checked the car over to mot standard as with every full service i noticed this safety critical fault. Brake pads had recently been replaced prior to my customer buying the car and the picture shows pads on the left not fitted into the carrier. As the car is for his daughter who is learning to drive he was just glad i found it and rectified it before it caused an accident

Had the joys of this fine motor in today looks can be deceiving as it came in overheating after some diagnostic work suspected the water pump had to strip the front down to gain access but water pump impeler had exploded two hours spent making sure all the fragments had been removed new pump fitted and all is well very lucky owner
