And that is me out of office while I take a much needed and I feel deserved break down to Cornwall. The workshop is all mopped and tidied so I don’t return to a mess. Another recent job in with us was this E39 530i sport.
This had been looked at elsewhere due to a bottom end noise and they had confirmed copper in the oil filter etc.
The customer contacted us to carry out the job after being recommended by others.
Nick Jupp supplied a lovely clean engine for the customer and had it delivered straight here.
The customer wanted to future proof some items while the engine was out and on a stand giving plenty of access to many parts.
All genuine BMW parts fitted as you can see in the picture.

Another recent job in with us was this E39 530i sport.
This had been looked at elsewhere due to a bottom end noise and they had confirmed copper in the oil filter etc.
The customer contacted us to carry out the job after being recommended by others.

Haven’t posted much lately due to being rather busy, so thought I’d start sharing some recent jobs starting with this 750il.
This came in for a replacement torque converter due to the original being noisy, we also carried out a gearbox service at the same time.
There were a few other little niggles such as the front passenger window regulator having given up which was also replaced.
The rear sills near to the jacking points were heavily corroded and needed some attention. For the fabricators to carry out a repair to a high standard they requested the fuel tank was removed. So down came the complete exhaust system and fuel tank to give them maximum access.
Upon re installation the fuel tank benefited from some nice new tank straps that the customer managed to source as these are now NLA from bmw. We gave the fuel tank a nice clean up and a healthy coating of clear waxoyl to help preserve the tank.
The exhaust benefited from some new genuine brackets as the old ones had rotted out.
The car is currently for sale and I can put anyone interested in touch with the owner.

Haven’t posted much lately due to being rather busy, so thought I’d start sharing some recent jobs starting with this 750il.

For sale I have a pair of E39 facelift halogen units.
The adjusters were replaced about 2 years ago by myself and still feeling good. The downside is one unit is dated 2009 and the other is dated late 2002 so both are not easily opened.
As you can see the lenses will require a good wet sand and polish, particularly the passenger side unit. However they will never be perfect as the lenses have internal superficial cracking as you can see in the photographs.
The drivers side unit is missing a high beam bulb but all the holders are present.
Both headlights in good working order other than that.
These will be £150 the pair, happy to listen to offers close to that if collecting. Collection would be from RH5 not far from Gatwick airport.
They can be posted at additional cost

Haven’t done a post like this for a while, too busy fixing cars recently.
This is the next breaker car I have in. It’s a 530i saloon in Titan silver.
Please note the style 32’s are not available and is sitting on a mix of personal donor wheels.
Has a few bits and pieces.
Parts availible upon request.
Smaller items can be posted but larger items such as panels will require collecting from RH5, not far from Gatwick airport.
Parts not available, rear parcelshelf blind, wheels as mentioned, sunroof and abs module.
