BassMechanix – Redefining Car Audio

Although we LOVE to build STUNNING showcars for our lovely family of Bass Fiends, we can also tackle your security needs (unfortunately that doesn't mean Monty standing guard over your car), upgrading your factory head unit and sat nav requirements, parking sensors and ANYTHING ELSE in between. We pride ourselves on OUR workshop knowledge, ALL FROM YEARS OF HAN

DS-ON EXPERIENCE, not from reading online AND then assuming. We have the whole game on lock and we welcome you to join the family no matter whether you need to rattle window panes, keep the robbers away or VIRTUALLY ANY OTHER electronic upgrade you can think of! 2006 BMW Z4 Coupe signed off today.

Clean OEM+ audio where less is more! We added the mid range into the doors which are part of the Harmon upgrade, expanded the holes for the Mid Bass in the kick wells so we could increase the size to 165mm. Put a wee 8” bass vented enclosed in the rear and tuned the living daylights out of it.

End result : proper hifi at any volume. High end is clean, vocals are dynamic and detailed, bass response from the fronts are smooth and the bottom end rumbles!

Set up as follows:

✅ Audison SR6:600 amplifier

✅ Audison APK1 tweeter paired with APK4 mid range via a passive crossover running high pass 500hz of channel 1 + 2

✅ Audison APK165p mid bass running of a band pass crossover 50hz-500hz

✅ Audison APBX 8r subwoofer running of bridged channels 5+6 @ low pass 50hz

Behind the scenes of what goes on at Bassmechanix HQ.

Audison SR6:600 6 channel amplifier installation into Simon’s delicious Z4 Coupe. At the end, all the boot panels will be reinstalled so you’ll never know there’s been an amplifier installed - but we know it’s there so it’s got to be neat as f@ 🥰🥰

Fully sound deaden the van, carpet line the rear, install 2 seats trimmed as close to factory as possible, play station 5, fridge, power inverter, lithium batteries, intergrated tool box, USB charging sockets, lights in the tailgate… God knows what else this nutcase wants 🥰🥰

2018 M4 Comp : Wireless android auto upgrade using the factory screen / buttons.

We’ve had many instances of customers supplying their own CarPlay / android auto units for us to install with various versions of larger screens. All of that has stopped for us now, we get nothing but hassle that we don’t have the patience for it just to save £50/£100. Faults we have are poor DAB reception, screens don’t fit very well, phones don’t pair correctly, steering controls don’t work, central locking fails.

So, we use our own supply : take it or leave it, but we have 100% confidence that it works like an OEM fit 👌🏽

First pair of Audison VOCE II 12” subs we’ve installed for Kyle’s Touareg.

Initial impressions are overwhelming, we’ve been looking for an audiophile woofer for a while. The PRIMA range hit well but are little woolly on the low notes - perfect for those who want to play heavy, hard and loud - these are well detailed, dynamic, accurate, playing happily down to 30hz.

Very impressive, it’s been a long time since I’ve been this impressed by a woofer - so much so there’s an order in for a 10” for the mini 🥰

Well done audison 👌🏽

PS - did you notice the enclosure is layered … less expansion, less energy lost. Not many installers build enclosures like this - because they can’t or can’t be arsed 🤣
