Well..this wasn’t what we expected to find 😳

The catalytic converter had been hollowed out at some point

That means the exhaust gases are no longer being cleaned before leaving the exhaust, so they’re going straight into the atmosphere!

It’s illegal to use on the road in this condition ❌

Customer came in with a knocking noise coming from their car 🚙

The suspension arms looked in decent condition at first glance but a closer inspection showed the support bushes were beginning to come away

Time for a replacement, followed by wheel alignment to make sure everything is back to as it should be 👍🏼

Where does the weekend go? 😅

I’m looking forward to getting back in the workshop for another busy week. There’s always something different coming through the doors & that’s one of the things I enjoy most about the job

If you’ve been meaning to get your car booked in give us a call first thing tomorrow morning. We do get booked up quite quickly, but we’ll always do our best to get you sorted

You can also book ahead if you know your MOT or service is coming up- it makes life a bit easier for everyone

Following on from yesterdays video…here’s a closer look at what we found 👀

All of the black build up is carbon that has accumulated inside of the manifold over time

It’s no surprise the engine wasn’t performing as it should 🔧

This customer came to us with the engine management light on and a noticeable lack of power 👀

After carrying out our checks, removed the manifold & found a heavy build up of carbon!

It’s a big job to put right but we’ll get it sorted properly & safely to get the customer back on the road 🚘
