Just when we thought we had enough parts to keep us busy, another load has turned up 😂

Slowly but surely we’re getting everything together ready to start rebuilding the front end.

Good job we enjoy a project… we’ve certainly created one for ourselves! 🚗👏🏼

Ford Focus project update 🚗

Another job ticked off the list, we’ve refurbished the steering rack and it’s looking much better 👏🏼

We’re finally getting to the stage where we can start putting things back together rather than taking them apart… always a good sign 😂

Not long now until we can start rebuilding the front end and see it all coming together.

And that’s us done for the Bank Holiday weekend! 👏🏼☀️🍺

The tools are down, the garage doors are closed and we’re ready for a few days off 😎

We’ll be closed all weekend including Bank Holiday Monday, then back in bright and early on Tuesday morning ready to get stuck into another busy week 🔧🚗

⚠️ Broken Coil Spring ⚠️

A broken spring is more dangerous than most people realise, here’s why:

-loss of control
-tyre damage
-reduced braking
-uneven ride height
-a section of coil can break off & stick in your tyre

Luckily enough most are a straight forward fix 👍🏼

Another tyre that’s definitely seen better days… 😬🛞

This one has developed a pretty serious split…definitely not something we’d want anyone continuing to drive around on!

Thankfully it’s been replaced and the customer can get safely back on the road 👍🏼🚗

Always worth keeping an eye on your tyres… it’s not just the tread that can cause problems! 👀

I’m trying to put this one back to as near original as possible, just taking my time and doing bits whenever I get the chance 🔧

I’ve got absolutely no idea what we’ll end up doing with the car once it’s finished but that’s half the fun of it!

It’s just a canny little project to potter on with when I’ve got some spare time and fancy a distraction from the day-to-day jobs in the workshop.

No rush, no deadline… we’ll just see where it takes us 👍🏼
