Average speed cameras are now the norm

HADECS radar cameras cover all smart motorways and track every lane at once, matched to the live limit on the gantry above

Most units flash invisibly, so you may not know you've been caught

SPECS average-speed systems measure your whole journey, so slowing down just for the camera no longer works

The minimum speeding fine has risen from £100 to £150, and AI cameras are rolling out.
New AI-powered cameras can monitor several vehicles and lanes at once, and average-speed HADECS 4 systems now cover all smart motorways. Speeds and fines are set in miles per hour, unlike the rest of Europe.

For those of you looking for test cancellations, cancellation apps are completely out. Some have already been removed from App Stores.
Ran it through ChatGPT and here’s one suggestion

Use the official GOV.UK “Change your driving test” service.

* Check the DVSA booking system 2–4 times a day rather than constantly.
* Spend 5–10 minutes refreshing each time, particularly:
* 6:00–8:00 am
* 11:30 am–1:00 pm
* 4:00–6:00 pm
* Occasionally after 9:00 pm
* Be ready to accept any suitable slot immediately, as cancellations are often snapped up within a minute or two. Check with me for available dates
