Customer complained about a excessively loud noise coming from the engine bay

After investigation found that the alternator bearings had collapsed causing the noise.

Brand new alternator fitted and back on the road within a day of the new part coming in.

Not only do we specialise in ford Transits, and all of our technicians are Ford trained and have came from main dealers with years of expertise working solely on Ford commercials, but in the coming months, we are opening a new workshop which is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to The Van Doctor! - from simple servicing, 1.0 EcoBoost wet belts, to Focus RS cylinder heads, we are here to do it all, and again, the technicians at The Car Doctor, come Ford trained and backed with years of experience and knowledge.

This lovely Audi A4 in for the Rear spring mounts to be replaced

As you can see by the photos these are far gone and off a vehicle that isn’t that old.

Genuine parts fitted and customer back on the road within a few hours. Always make sure to get your vehicles checked over even if it isn’t that old.

VW Golf GTI in for a oil leak

Found it was coming from the sump area, after a clean off and closer inspection, we found that it had a hair line crack in the sump. Causing oil to leak through once it was warm.

New Genuine Sump fitted and refilled oil then retested. No further leaks ✅

Customer now happy they’ve got no more oil drips on their driveway.

Don’t hesitate to get your vehicle checked if you notice any issues.

If you have one please get it checked for any cracks, as this can cause major performance issues and oil pressures issues which will cause your engine to seize.

Ford Ranger in for a Major Service.

As you can see by the old parts to new parts, it’s important to get your filters changed every year. These can cause engine running problems, especially the fuel filter.

Audi RS6 in for a ABS light on the dash.

Went to Audi original for the fault diagnosed and got quoted £980 for a wheel bearing and ABS sensor.

Customer brought to me for Diagnostic after receiving the Audi Price.

Fault in the system was for the Passenger rear wheel speed sensor. Now the reason Audi have quoted for the wheel bearing and the sensor is due to that being a guaranteed fix. However you can eliminate the sensor by swapping sensors from side to side ( in most cases ).

Quoted the customer £200 including labour and genuine parts. Replaced the sensor for the wheel speed and retested all good, no further faults.

Customer was very happy as they didn’t have to spend £££ to fix their problem.

Cylinder Headgasket replacement on a VW 2.0 petrol bora.

Customer concerns was heating was poor and coolant looks like mayo.

Coolant system was pressure tested and only dropped by a couple of PSI.

Oil cooler replaced first stage and returned 2 weeks later with the same issue, headgasket removed and replaced with new head bolts and all seals replaced.

Here we had a customer ring in for a possible snapped spring on a VW Caddy.

Loud noises when turning and heavy steering making it unsafe to drive.

Once we came out to the vehicle and confirmed it was indeed the spring, however due to where the spring had snapped the top mount bearing had fallen apart. New Top mount and Spring fitted road side and the van was back on the road. ✅
