Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our professional team.

The Role
As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of tractor units and trailers to DVSA standards. This is a hands-on role requiring both independent working and collaboration within a wider team.

Key Responsibilities
• Carrying out regular PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) on trailers and tractor units
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
• Diagnosing faults using Jaltest diagnostic equipment
• General mechanical repairs and servicing
• Welding and fabrication work as required
• Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and compliance standards
• Maintaining accurate service and inspection records

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Relevant HGV mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Proven experience working on HGVs, trailers, and tractor units
• Experience using Jaltest or similar diagnostic systems
• Welding and fabrication skills
• A strong understanding of DVSA standards and compliance
• The ability to work independently and manage tasks confidently
• A positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team
• A HGV class 1 license would be beneficial but not a necessity
