🚗🔧 RAC RECOVERY – CAMBELT FAILURE

As an RAC Approved Garage, this vehicle was recovered to us by the RAC after suffering a non-start condition.

On inspection, we found the timing belt tensioner had failed, and the cambelt itself was in very poor condition. ⚠️

We carried out the necessary repairs, including:
🔧 Removal and replacement of the timing belt kit
💧 Replacement of the water pump
✅ Full inspection to ensure everything was correctly timed and operating as it should.

Another vehicle recovered, diagnosed and repaired by our team, getting the customer safely back on the road. 💪

🔧 CLUTCH REPLACEMENT – ANOTHER JOB COMPLETED! 🚗

This vehicle came into the garage with clutch-related issues, and after removing the gearbox we found the concentric slave cylinder had failed.

Unfortunately, the failure had caused brake fluid contamination of the clutch, meaning the clutch assembly could no longer perform correctly.

On inspection, the flywheel was also found to be worn, so we replaced it to ensure the new clutch would have a proper mating surface and reliable operation.

🛠️ Work carried out:
✅ New clutch kit
✅ New concentric slave cylinder
✅ New flywheel
✅ Contamination from the brake fluid addressed
✅ Full inspection and reassembly

The vehicle is now back together and ready to get back on the road. 💪

🔧 Big job in the workshop today! 🔧

This vehicle came in for a new clutch replacement, which meant removing the gearbox to access the worn clutch assembly.

As you can see from the photos, the gearbox has been removed, the old clutch replaced, and everything carefully reassembled to manufacturer specifications. It’s a labour-intensive job, but getting it right ensures smooth gear changes, reliable performance, and many more miles on the road.

🚗 Is Your Car’s Air Conditioning Not Blowing Cold? It Could Be Your A/C Condenser! ❄️

This is a photo of a leaking A/C condenser that we recently replaced, Diagnosed with pressure test and uv light to confirm failure.

Over time, your condenser sits right at the front of your vehicle, where it’s exposed to:
🔹 Road debris and stone chips
🔹 Dirt and corrosion
🔹 General wear and tear

Even a tiny leak can cause the refrigerant gas to escape, leaving your air conditioning blowing warm air or not working at all.

Signs your A/C condenser may be failing:
✅ Air conditioning isn’t as cold as it used to be
✅ A/C only blows warm air
✅ Hissing sounds from the front of the car
✅ Oily residue or visible damage on the condenser

Don’t ignore it—running your A/C with low refrigerant can put extra strain on the system and lead to more expensive repairs.

❄️Pack a winter car pack. This could include blankets, water, snacks, a torch, jump cables, phone charger and anything else you might need in an emergency.
