1999 Rover Mini 40 Limited Edition.

Built in very low numbers to commemorate 40 years of Mini production just 250 were produced for the UK and this example is the Holy Grail amongst its peers finished in stunning Old English White and one of just 50, making it a very rare and sought after Mini. In my opinion they are possibly the best appointed Minis produced giving a real luxury feel and classy looks. Mini 40s were factory Sportspacks with unique Gold coachlines, Gold 40 emblem bonnet badge, twin spotlights and a chrome GB badge. This 40 also has tasteful showroom optional extra bumpers with nudge bars and a stainless steel exhaust. This is the first Old English White 40 we have had the pleasure in preparing and I can confirm they are awesome in the flesh and surely one of the best looking Minis produced.

This example has only covered a very low 6 thousand miles in 27 years with just two previous owners. It is accompanied with its original handbooks, fully stamped service book, both sets of keys and fobs and the all important Mini 40 presentation case. It was registered new by Jones of Rayne in Essex and it still proudly wears both its original dealer number plates and tax disc holder. It is in fantastic original condition and is highly detailed, it looks new and smells new.

On the road the Mini drives beautifully. Mini 40's are the same spec as Coopers so they have brisk performance and excellent handling. This is an MPI Mini which stands for Multi Point fuel injection, featuring a drivers airbag, side impact beams and an alarm and immobiliser, they also have taller gearing making long distance cruising a pleasure. The low mileage engine is near silent and the gearbox slick and precise. A stainless steel exhaust gives it the correct burble. All you need to do to have some Mini fun is turn the key and go.

The interior is absolutely stunning and surely the best interior that Rover produced. It has Prussian blue leather seats with matching door cards and carpets. Aluminium turned dashboard with six magnolia dials with a "40" emblem on the clocks. It also has beautiful alloy door trim and the original Rover CD player. It also has its original rubber floor matts and this model has rear seat belts. It is totally unmarked throughout.

The Mini has an amazing shell and can only be described as like new. The underside is totally unmarked and completely spotless, as it rolled off the production line. The paintwork is unmarked as is all of the original chrome work. It has been a pleasure to prepare this awesome Mini and I am sure its lucky new owner will enjoy it as much as I have, its an absolute work of art.

We have fully serviced, checked and driven the Mini and it has a long MOT so is ready to be enjoyed.

1995 Rover Mini Sprite 1275cc

Finished in Flame red with a satin Black middle giving it looks that really stands out from the crowd. It is very rare to find a Mini that has been this well cared for with such an original shell. Registered new by Rowles in Eastleigh and still proudly wearing both its supplying dealer number plates and its original leather key ring. It has a detailed service history dating back 1995 which includes the original bill of sale, Rover handover sheet, service book, handbooks and raft of service invoices and MOT certificates. It has only covered a very low 21 thousand miles in 31 years with just three previous owners and has been maintained thoroughly its whole life. It has some very useful upgrades added by its long term engineer owner that have really added to the driving experience increasing performance and handling.

On the road it is a great experience. The 1275 fuel injected engine is near silent and the gearbox still feels taught and precise. Performance is brisk, it features 1:5:1 roller rockers and a Maniflow exhaust system which just gives it that little extra power and a subtle but purposeful burble. The handling is amazing and has fully adjustable camber front and rear with uprated Gas shock absorbers. We have just treated it too four brand new wider profile tyres so it does everything very well indeed. Being a fuel injected Mini it is also very easy to use, simply turn the key and go, offering all the Classic Mini charm with a modern twist.

The interior is very well presented with its original virtually unmarked seats, roof liner and door cards, a testament to its cared for life. It has a very useful rev counter mounted on the dash which adds to the fast road theme and a beautiful wood rim steering wheel. The stereo has been upgraded with a JVC head unit with AUX and USB inputs, under seat speakers and parcel shelf speakers. This model also has rear seat belts.

The Mini has a fantastic shell with its original gleaming floor pans, original vented sills, untouched boot floor and what appears to be all of its original panels. The underside is nicely detailed and it is body coloured inside all four wheel arches. The paintwork is gleaming and the looks enhanced with a set of Minilite wheels and a Cooper wide slat grille. This is a very good looking Mini that has been beautifully preserved and cared for that is also awesome to drive.

We have fully serviced, checked, tuned and driven this Mini and it also has a full no advisory MOT so it is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

SOLD 1989 Austin Mini Rose 1000cc.

Produced to commemorate 30 years of Mini production, pastel colours were used as a nod to the swinging Sixties. Two options were produced so you could choose from either a Mini Rose with a Pastel Pink roof or Sky with a Pastel Blue roof. Only 500 were made in each colour and around 80 Rose Minis remain today giving you access to a very excusive Mini club. Our example is in remarkable original condition and offers a real slice of the eighties. It has only covered a very low 38 thousand miles in 37 years with just three previous owners. The last owner, a lady called Rose cherished it for 21 years and it was maintained through the family garage business. It has all of its original features which is refreshing too see as many of these editions were modified beyond recognition. It still proudly wears its original supplying dealer number plates, Nimbus grey bumpers, grille, wheel arches, mirrors and door handles. It also has its original colour coded wheel arches. The Rose edition also has Rose side decals and a Pink Austin bonnet badge.

On the road this Rose is great fun. Late eighties Minis are very easy to drive and also boast servo assisted disc brakes and rear seat belts. This low mileage example feels very taught and responsive. The engine is very smooth and near silent and the gearbox is a joy to use. Performance is brisk and it is happy at modern traffic speeds and a real blast around the lanes. It does get lots of attention as most admirers have never seen a Rose so you will find yourself explaining how rare and original it is.

The interior is completely as it left the factory, it has the unique to this model, Pink and Grey crayon fabric trim, two clock dash, original Phillips R361 cassette player and the correct shelf mounted speakers. The roof liner, door cards and carpets are as they were and very well presented.

The Rose has a very solid shell, illustrating its cared for life. It has its original body coloured floor pans, the correct vented sills, detailed boot floor and solid subframes. It also has its original front wings and front panel. The paintwork is well presented and belies its near forty year vintage. This is a not a restored Mini, this one has been cared for and maintained correctly.

The Rose is fully checked through and prepared with many new parts, it is fully serviced and tuned and has a long no advisory MOT. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

SOLD

The mighty Mk1 Austin Mini Cooper S. 1275cc

Finished in the ultimate colour combination of Old English White with a Black roof and its original Red and Grey Brocade trim. Registered new in May 1965 by Premier Motor Company in Birmingham and issued with its original Isle of Wight number plate where it has spent most of its life. This is a genuine Cooper S with its original shell, engine and body FE number and supporting Heritage Certificate. Owning and driving one of these amazing Minis is a real privilege and this example will not disappoint, they really are the Classic Mini Holy Grail and they give you a special fizz when you are powering along the twisty roads. This example has been carefully restored with only minimal panel replacement and has settled in nicely. It is highly detailed and benefits from a huge amount of new parts easily at a show condition but also ready to be driven and enjoyed as they were intended to be.

On the road the experience is addictive. The original 1275 engine was rebuilt at MED Engineering and given some very useful extra horse power. 1964 Austin Mini MK1. 1293cc

We are very pleased to offer a real piece of Classic Mini history, one that I have been excited to list and I also know is virtually unique with a fascinating story. The Mini "617MOM" was registered new in May 1964 by Neville Jeffrey who worked for Austin at Longbridge, he qualified for the works employer discount scheme and the supporting original sales invoice confirms that he paid the sum of £443 and 15 shillings. He also optioned the Super De Luxe spec complete with Porcelain green trim. After a few months he passed the Mini onto his son Edward who after a few years of using it as his daily transport decided to use it for Saloon Car racing. He was lucky enough to work for the right company and manged to not only fully convert it into a racer but also managed to fit it with an engine developed by Daniel Richmond of Downton engineering fame. It has an experimental A series block, which is briefly a thin wall S block with no tappet chest side covers which became the forerunner for the later A+ engine. Assembled by Special Tuning and known as an "XSP" experimental block, they were also fitted to Sebring Sprites in period and this particular well known Mini is featured on that website. The Mini was campaigned until the early seventies and then dry stored for over forty years and has such remained untouched offers a real insight that amazing Saloon Car Racing era and must be more or less unique. It is accompanied with lots of important paperwork from the era including invoices from Downton, Patrick Motors and Les Leston and a corresponding Heritage certificate. To this day it is still only a three owner Mini. Its last owner has cared for it for ten years and used it regularly.

What you do get is an absolutely amazing driving experience. The 1293 "XSP" which stands for Experimental, engine features a 648 cam, Weber 45DCOE carb, KARB twin neck inlet manifold, 25D4 distributor with S points, S radiator and 13 row oil cooler. The power is put down by a Jack Knight L*D gearbox with a 3:0 diff, S shafts, race clutch and a remote linkage. It has dry suspension with Armstrong Road holder dampers, S discs, Dunlop D1 alloys and Dunlop Green Spot tyres. The wonderful thing about this Mini as it is at was in the early seventies. It has been recommissioned, serviced and tuned and has a new Maniflow large bore exhaust system. As you can imagine it sounds amazing and has a oodles of power and is very eager to keep on pulling right through the rev band, this is a quick focussed Mini that whilst being road legal would be very much at home racing around Goodwood or tackling any speed trial or hill climb. We have prepared many Minis and this stands out as particularly quick and I would easily estimate around 110BHP.

The Mini has a very solid shell and has its original floor pans and sills. For racing purposes it gained a GRP quick release boot lid and a Guy Performance Fibreglass front. It has a huge amount of patina and is really unrepeatable in this condition and would certainly draw crowds at any event as it has so much history and amazing looks.

The interior is fully functional race car, period race seats with Kangol Harnesses with invoice from 1968. Basic and functional dash with a shift light and a period roll cage. The original seats are also available. Just when you thought it could not get any better it also comes with its original trailer supplied by Don Parker Trailers with matching invoice.

The Mini offers its lucky new owner a real piece of Classic Mini history that has been wonderfully preserved and is also ready to be used and enjoyed and to carry on this amazing Minis story.
