FRIDAY FEATURE! 🏎️

Porsche 911 Convertible in for a full major service! 🇩🇪✨
You might think changing spark plugs is a straightforward job… think again! 😅
On this 911, it takes around 4 hours of dismantling just to gain access to the spark plugs! 🔩

To get to them, we have to:
🔧 Remove the bumper
🔧Remove rear light units
🔧 Remove the side panels & heat shields
🔧 Remove two exhaust systems
…all before we can even get to the spark plugs! 🤯

It’s a perfect example of how some jobs on modern sports cars require serious time, specialist knowledge and plenty of patience.

WEDNESDAY WORKSHOP WINS! 👇🔧

🚙 Land Rover Defender
Wouldn’t start, despite the hybrid/auxiliary battery powering the vehicle’s electronics. After testing, we diagnosed a failed hybrid battery and got it replaced — back up and running! ⚡💪

🚐Citroën Berlingo
Warning lights on and suffering from a serious loss of power. 😩
We carried out a DPF regeneration, DPF Cleaner through the oxygen sensor port and left it to soak for 24 hours. Then we carried out 3 controlled regenerations through the diagnostic system — and the result? 🌪️💨
DPF back in shape and a pass! ✅

🚘Fiat 500
Heavy clutch pedal making driving a workout? 💪😅
Clutch replacement carried out and it’s back to a nice, smooth pedal.

Busy start to the week at Wessex…

🚐 VW Crafter – in for a full major service. Big vans like this work hard, a proper service means fewer breakdowns, lower running costs, & a van that stays earning for you.

🚗 Peugeot – MOT time & the classic outer CV boot failure. Very common issue – caught & sorted before it turned into a joint or driveshaft problem.

🛻Ford Transit Tipper– booked in for a head gasket. Diagnosis confirmed, parts ordered, & the team are already getting stuck in.

Two very different jobs keeping us busy in the workshop today…

🚐 VW Transporter — in with a leaking steering rack. The old one is coming out & a brand-new rack is going in. Steering sorted, leaks gone! 💪

🚗 Audi A4 — this one had a few issues hiding underneath! 🔍😬
✔️ 2 front shocks
✔️ 4 top arms
✔️ Nearside outer CV boot
✔️ Offside drop link snapped, rubbing against the driveshaft

From steering racks to suspension & everything in between, we keep your vehicles moving!

The Ford Focus ST — Back on the Road! 🏁💨

After suffering a major engine failure with a rod through the block, this 2016 Focus ST has made an incredible comeback!

With the old engine beyond saving, a replacement engine was fitted and the hard work began to bring this ST back to life 🦾

Now it’s time for the moment we’ve been waiting for… hearing it run and seeing it back where it belongs — on the road! 👀🔥
