🚨 It’s been a while since we’ve had a recovery body in the workshop, so it was good to get stuck into this one.

The customer wanted to give his basic beavertail body a bit more of a modern look, as well as sorting out the rear lights, which were in a bit of a mess!

We fitted a new lightboard, pressed-steel mudguards and crash rails, then rewired the rear lights and tidied everything up properly.

To finish it off, we folded some aluminium tread-plate cappings to protect the paintwork and give a bit of extra grip when getting in and out of vehicles during recovery.

A straightforward job, but a few practical changes to bring the body up to date and make it a lot tidier.

🚨This week we had this Spedeworth Superstox in the workshop for Jamie, who got in contact needing some chassis repairs before his next outing.

Both chassis rails had been bent, and with some extra heavy-duty gussets fitted previously, the chassis had decided to bend somewhere it definitely shouldn’t have! 😂

We cut all the bent bits out, fabricated and welded in 2 brand-new chassis rails and re-fitted all the suspension mounts.

Jamie needed the car back in time for his next meeting, so we did our best and got it back to him 2 days before 🏁

🚨 We’ve recently completed this custom dropside body for a Toyota Hilux Double Cab.

The customer requested a tapered headboard, a removable tool locker to match the headboard, and fully removable dropsides and tailboard. This allows the body to be quickly transformed into a complete flatbed for multiple uses.

The build was finished in matt black and then sent on its way to Wales, complete with a fitting kit and all the necessary accessories;

so that the customer can install it at their convenience.

🚨Another bespoke tipper conversion out of the workshop.

This latest build is a little different from our standard tipper bodies, as the customer came to us with a clear vision and a list of specific requirements. We worked closely with them to create a body that’s as practical as it is smart.

Features include:
✅Removable 600mm high sides
✅Removable headboard extension
✅Pesci sling latches to eliminate rattles
✅Removable rear barn doors
✅Removable rear ladder rack
✅Container latches fitted to the barn doors
✅Pressed steel mudguards for a classic look
✅Matt black powder-coated steelwork

Combined with our tipping gear, light board and all the finishing touches you’d expect from Haven Fabrication, this is one of the most versatile tipper conversions we’ve built to date.

The customer collected it this week and was over the moon with the finished result. Seeing an idea progress from the initial conversation to a completed vehicle is one of the best parts of what we do.

🚨 This customer came to us looking to convert his recently purchased tipper into a practical arb tipper, purpose-built for tree surgery work and chipping in to.

We also fabricated a full-length locker, cleverly utilising one of the original drop sides as the door. This provides secure, full length storage with easy access to all the tools needed on the job.
