Jaguar xf in last week. 2.0l ingenium engine. Came in with the common rattling noise from the engine. Confirmed as common timing chain issue with these engines. Carried out full timing chain replacement along with an engine flush and fresh oil and filter change.

This customer recently had a lucky escape.
Car was making a strange noise so called in and asked if we could investigate.
Upon investigations found cambelt in this condition with almost all the teeth stripped and also the water pump pulley completely seized. Not entirely sure how the engine was still running and in time.

Carried out a Cambelt and waterpump replacement. Checked or any further damage. Vehicle back on the road and a very happy and lucky customer.

Not sure when your timing belt is due for replacement. Please contact us and we will be happy to check and advise.

Another ford ecoboost in for wetbelt replacement. Customer complained of low oil pressure warning. Strainer fully blocked of belt residue. Belt was overdue for replacement.

For the 1.0 EcoBoost wet belt (found in many Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, Ford Puma and others), the official Ford recommendation has traditionally been:
10 years or 150,000 miles

However, we recommend replacing it earlier
6–8 years, or
60,000–80,000 miles
