Junior Forklift Salesperson
Location: Swansea, South Wales
Job Type: Part Time
Salary: Competitive Basic Salary + Commission + Company Benefits
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Forklift Salesperson to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in sales within the material handling and forklift industry.
The successful candidate will work closely alongside a Senior Salesperson, receiving hands-on training and mentoring while learning all aspects of the forklift sales process. This role offers a clear pathway for career progression and the opportunity to develop into a fully independent sales professional.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside a Senior Salesperson to learn and support the sales process.
* Identify and develop new sales opportunities.
* Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
* Assist with forklift sales, short-term hire, long-term rental, and service contract enquiries.
* Attend customer visits, site surveys, and sales meetings with the Senior Salesperson.
* Prepare quotations and follow up on sales leads.
* Maintain accurate customer records using CRM systems.
* Support marketing and promotional activities.
* Represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements
* Excellent communication and people skills.
* Confident and professional telephone manner.
* Self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
* Willingness to learn from experienced sales professionals.
* Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
* Sales experience is beneficial but not essential.
* Knowledge of forklifts or plant equipment is advantageous but full training will be provided.
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
