In a 3 mile radius there is no call out charge but after 5:30pm there will be a call out charge. We are not 24hrs

Well, what a busy few weeks it has been with Air conditionings and mechanical repairs here at Watkins 🥵 😎 🌞

We have been bombarded with messages, phone calls and even tagged on here to get your vehicle re-gasses done and your mechanical repairs, so please, bare with us and we will do our absolute best to get you booked in as soon as we can, but we are taking a lot of booking at the moment.

It does look like we are going to be having some more sunshine next week, so don't hesitate to get in contact with us to get your regasses done.

We also wanted to inform you that we are open all day on Saturdays till 5.30pm....so feel free to book your air conditioning slots then or any mechanical repairs.

Prices start at £80 for regasses, all depends on what gas your vehicle takes.

Good Afternoon Everyone 👋

Here we have a Ford Focus that came into us last week for a diagnosis as it was going into limp mode and brought up an engine management light.

We confirmed that the turbo was bad due to it losing oil pressure because the wet belt had started to break down and blocked the oil pick up and the turbo core filter which then restricts oil pressure flow.

After giving the customer the unfortunate news, they went ahead with the repair.

Work Carried Out:

Wet belt kit (inc tensioner & Oil Pump Belt
Water pump
Turbo
Sump cleaned
Oil pick up cleaned
Turbo core filter cleaned
Vacuum pump filter cleaned
New rocker cover gasket
Friction washer
Timing cover crank seal
Crankshaft pulley bolt
Water pump outlet pipe
Timing gear cover gasket
Oil & Filter change
Fresh coolant

Very happy customer and another vehicle leaving us back on the road and running healthy.

Here at Watkins, we carry out a lot of mechanical repairs, from basic servicing to your clutches and timing belts.

But did you know we have a motorcycle bay for all of your motorbike tyre fitments and punctures.

Also we carry out Mots not just on cars but on quads, trikes, motorhomes and all commercial vehicles.

We can supply a good range of motorbike tyres which we can order in for you the next working day, or call us and we can get them ordered in for you so they are here for you when you come down for your appointment.
