Tyres found on today’s MOT - looks like they are ready for a blow out

The issue with these are you can’t see them if looking at she side of the car, this is on the inner edge of the tyre.

If you turn your wheel full lock to inspect the inner edge of the tyre 🛞

❄️🚗 Why we don’t just “re-gas” every air conditioning system…

A lot of people think an air conditioning service is simply a case of topping the gas up. In reality, our machine carries out two important checks before it will even begin the re-gas process.

✅ Step 1: It checks whether there’s any refrigerant left in the system.

✅ Step 2: It carries out a pressure test to make sure the system is sealed and doesn’t have any leaks.

If both checks pass, the machine will automatically recharge the system.

If either check fails, the system needs diagnosing before any refrigerant can be added.

In this case, the pressure test failed, so we carried out a nitrogen leak test. The video shows exactly what we found… bubbles pouring out of the air conditioning condenser, clearly showing where the leak is.

Simply adding more refrigerant to a leaking system would be a waste of money, as it would leak straight back out.

⚠️ Another MOT failure that could have become a serious safety issue… ⚠️

This suspension arm had completely separated from its rubber bush, allowing excessive movement in the suspension.

The second photo shows the brand new replacement arm.
The second photo shows the failed component removed from the vehicle – the bush has pulled completely away from the arm.

When suspension components wear like this, you may notice:
🚗 Knocking noises
🚗 Poor handling
🚗 Uneven tyre wear
🚗 Steering that doesn’t feel quite right

In some cases, there are very few warning signs, which is why regular servicing and MOT inspections are so important.

If your MOT is due or you’ve noticed any unusual noises or handling issues, don’t ignore them.
