THE SUPERHERO FAMILY DAY, TUESDAY 21ST JULY 2026 – ABANDONED

We regret to inform you that due to a technical fault, our irrigation system is unable to water the racecourse to safe levels. Horse welfare is paramount and therefore racing on Tuesday 21st July will not go ahead. This includes all additional funfair rides and activities.

Everyone on our team is truly devastated. We had a fantastic day planned for all our racegoers and have explored every possible alternative to save all or part of the day, but unfortunately none of the options were viable.

We are incredibly sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

All ticket holders will receive an email within the next 48 hours about how to receive a full refund.

This issue will be rectified within the coming days and all other racedays will go ahead as planned.

πŸ“’ Important Update for our Superhero Family Raceday, Tuesday 21st July

Following advice from The British Horse Racing Authority regarding restrictions that have been put in place to try and limit the spread of equine flu, we're unfortunately no longer able to offer pony rides or pony racing at our Superhero Family Raceday on Tuesday 21st July.

Due to the current vaccination programme and bio-security measures in licensed training yards, horse racing will continue.

The safety and wellbeing of all equines is paramount, and we fully support the measures in place to help protect horses and ponies during this time.

While the ponies won't be joining us, we're delighted to announce a fantastic new experience for the whole family... ππŽπ–ππ‘πˆπƒπ†π„ 𝐀𝐋𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐀𝐒! πŸ¦™βœ¨

Come and meet these adorable alpacas, where children (and grown-ups too!) can enjoy petting them and even take them for a walk. It's the perfect chance to get up close with these friendly animals and make some unforgettable memories!

We're proud to welcome The Royal Regiment of Scotland as sponsors of our Oktoberfest Raceday on Saturday 12 September!

As we look forward to welcoming The Regiment later this year, we'd like to congratulate them on celebrating their 20th anniversary with the unveiling of a new memorial in Edinburgh by His Majesty The King, Colonel in Chief of the Regiment.

The bronze lion statue in Princes Street Gardens represents the unity of Scotland's six historic infantry regiments that came together to form The Royal Regiment of Scotland in 2006. The anniversary was marked with the Regiment exercising the Freedom of the City of Edinburgh in full ceremonial dress, accompanied by veterans, Corporal Cruachan IV, and the Regiment's renowned Band and Pipes & Drums.

As the British Army's senior line infantry regiment and Scotland's only Scottish line infantry, The Royal Regiment of Scotland has a proud heritage of service, resilience and tradition, and we're delighted to have them supporting one of our biggest racedays of the year.
