Important Update: DVLA Jacking Equipment Regulations – Effective 1 April 2026
In line with the DVLA’s updated regulations coming into effect from 1 April 2026, all jacking equipment used in garages must meet the following minimum specifications:
Safe Working Load: Minimum of 2 tonnes (increased from 1.5 tonnes)
Lifting Pad Distance: Minimum of 1700mm between the centres of the lifting pads
