A Certificated Location, or CLs, are small, privately run campsites that can accommodate up to 5 caravans or pods, and 10 tents. They are for use by members of a club. CLs can be open all year round, and itโs at your discretion what kind of campsite you wish to provide, whether it be a basic hideaway or a fully facilitated family friendly set-up as long as you meet the basic requirements; the rest is up to you!
Clubs have the ability to issue CL certificates to landowners to run small five pitch sites, for the exclusive use of our members across the UK. This is because they are an exempted organisations under The Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960.
How much does it cost? From as little as ยฃ500 for a consultation fee, then if successful, a ยฃ300 annual membership fee for your exemption certificate. This is paid directly to the club.
Here at Lune Valley Pods, we have put together an amazing starter package consisting of five pods, three toilet and two shower cubicles; these are all mobile and conform to the exemption route and are the perfect solution to off grid sites. Having the outside toilets removes the need for expensive groundwork and septic tanks which require planning permission. Another plus is that the pods can be spread out without constraint of services.
We know what it takes to create a profitable glamping site on a budget, the expense of a planning application and professional reports, could cover the cost of our CL5 package.
Each pod comes fully insulted with rubber coated tin roof, tanalised timber decking, PVC door & window and lifting points. The toilet/shower cubicles are timber/tin construction and ideal for placing around site.
